How Do I Register?   

1. Click on the register link on the homepage
2. Create your Username and Password (keep these in a safe place)
3. When selecting a username and password , use lower-case letters ,try to Avoid using numbers or spaces ,comma's ,full-stops etc
4. Fill out your contact details
5. Click on the register link at the bottom of the page
6. An email will be sent to your email address you have provided us with
7. Open this email and click on the confirmation link
8. You will then be re-directed back to the SWOP website
9. You will then recieve a message on the page "Congratulations you have successfully completed registration"

I have completed my registration, why can't I log in?

Before you can log in you need to activate your account. After registering an email will be sent to your specified email address. You need to click the activation link in this email to activate your account. Once your account has been activated you will be able to log in.

Is Bartering Legal?

Yes! So many people worry about this and need not to. If you are business bartering all trades are treated as cash transactions, therefore it's up to you to claim any trades on your taxes according to your governments regulations. What you have supplied would count as a sale and what you received in return would count as an expense (if it is business related).

If you're personal bartering for goods then you don't need to worry about claiming anything because you've already paid taxes on these goods.

Laws vary from country to country so we recommend that you inform yourself on your own countries laws about bartering.

Does it cost me anything to place an ad to swop?

No, swopping items/services on this site is absolutely free to all private individuals.

How do I place an ad?

In order to place an ad you must first register and be logged in by typing in your username and password (refer to above )

Click the link Login as instructed above ,Once logged in you should see the Members Panel on the right of the screen 

1. The Members Panel will have several options 
2. To place an ad click the add item to trade link 
3. Enter in all the details of the item you wish to Swop or sell 
4. Upload any images you have of your item (images must NOT exceed 1mb or approximate 250 x 180 pixels) 
5. When completed just click on the add link at bottom of page (it may take a few minutes to upload your images )  

From the Members Panel you can edit both your personal details and the item details after you have placed your ad. Should you require further assistance please feel free to contact us, thank you.

Asking price / Sale amount

When typing in your sale amount ,example $10,000.00 ,use only numerals do not add in the $ or , . etc ,the site will automatically add these in for you ,example 10000
